What are LGCs?

LGCs, or Large-scale Generation Certificates, are tradeable certificates specifically designed for eligible large-scale renewable energy power stations. These certificates quantitatively represent the amount of renewable electricity generated or displaced by these facilities. Each LGC corresponds to 1 megawatt-hour (MWh) of renewable electricity produced or displaced.

Greenbank’s LGC model covers Large-scale generation certificates generated from large-scale solar electricity activities (over 100kw). 1 LGC is equal to 1 MWh of renewable electricity generated.
