What are VEECs?

A VEEC, or Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificate, represents one tonne of greenhouse gas emissions reduction. These certificates, also referred to as credits, are generated by accredited providers such as Greenbank following the completion of eligible installations, also known as activities.

What are Activities?

Eligible scenarios are called activities under the VEEC Scheme.

Activity	Description
6	Installing a high efficiency air conditioner
6 (i)	Replacing hard-wired electric room heater (no refrigerative air conditioner)
6 (ii)	Replacing hard-wired room heater and refrigerator air conditioner
6 (iii)	Replacing central electric resistance heater or slab heater (no refrigerative air conditioner)
6 (iv)	Replacing central electric resistance heater/slab heater and refrigerative air conditioner
6 (ix)	Replacing non-ducted gas heater only (no refrigerative air conditioner)
6 (v)	Replacing ducted reverse cycle air conditioner
6 (vi)	Replacing non-ducted reverse cycle air conditioner
6 (vii)	Replacing ducted gas heater only (no refrigerative air conditioner)
6 (viii)	Replacing ducted gas heater and refrigerative air conditioner
6 (x)	Replacing non-ducted gas heater and refrigerative air conditioner
6 (xi)	No decommissioning
